(Just want to say, this is my first post discussing RP and storyline stuff. If I'm doing it wrong, please let me know!)
So the Violent Wormhole in Hebisa turned out to be the Nation again. But they didn't come through for a while, and conventional wormhole-closing methods didn't seem to be effective. What could be different? <brainstorm> ò Could it have been accidentally created? This would explain why they took a while to come through.
ò Could the hypothetical accident have been a result of a malfunctioning wormhole-generating device? This would explain why they needed to send a (presumably appropriately modified) supercarrier through to close it, as an uncontrolled wormhole or damaged generator would likely prevent a closure from their end.
ò Why Hebisa, if it was an intentional opening? I'm not familiar with that system. Is it a popular system? Sansha is known to be specifically going after capsuleers now, so targeting a system with many pilots would be logical. However, the delay indicates that there was some problem with the wormhole at their end. The delay also attracted capsuleer attention, and there were at least some combat-ready ships nearby when they did come through. This would explain why they retreated quickly- a prepared force of warships may not have been expected.
ò Part 2: Sansha-tracing Is it possible to enter Incursion wormholes from this end? If so: _Cyno-beacon-fitted ships should be kept prepared in as many Incursion-eligible systems as possible. _When the Incursion starts, these ships should be given cover and support as they get to and through the wormhole. _Once on the other side, they should be defended while they do their cyno thing. _A battle fleet of jump-capable ships (and any smaller ships they can bring with them) waiting in a nullsec or wormhole system should then jump to the beacon. _The battle fleet should have at least one ship capable of setting up a temporary base of some kind at the beacon, and several research/scouting ships. _If a jump bridge can be established, then it should, to allow non-jump-capable ships to enter the area and look around. </brainstorm>
So that's my ideas. Since this is a brainstorm thread, anyone else's should be thrown in here too!
